Grenadine, with its versatile sweet berry taste and rich ruby hue is a mainstay in any discerning cocktail cabinet. While its name comes from the French word ?grenade? meaning ?pomegranate?, this full flavoured syrup is actually often made of blackcurrant and a number of other berry flavours. This great tasting Monin syrup is made up of 10% pure fruit juice, including blackcurrant, elderberry and raspberry and is sweet as well as having a refreshing tartness. Long known as the deep red colouring splashed into the 70s classic Tequila Sunrise, grenadine syrup has a well-balanced berry taste, meaning that it works well in all manner of drinks. Try mixing into a Martini or a Daiquiri for a hit of berry freshness or pep up mocktails and shooters alike.
