Suntory Hakushu Distiller's Reserve 70cl

Hakushu Single Malt Whisky showcases this unique Japanese distiller's range of talents. A combination of both heavy and light peat malts, this is one complex, savoury formula. The nose is quite herbal, with notes of pine and grass, peppermint, cucumber and sweet melon, followed by a similar palate that also includes a dash of bright citrus zest. The smoky finish comes in as a bit of a surprise, but it's certainly welcome.
